your kids, entire.
You stare into me,
watching the cities
in my maw, the pretties.
Why not step off,
With all the rest?
You aren't the best.
I will take you.
Your flaws and
strengths in hand.
I'm hungry, feed me
and I will feed back
tell you what you lack.
The people inside me
are perfect, flawless
and you, you're less.
You need what I offer
My promises, my deals
I can sell you some ideals…
You really need this,
it'll set off your eyes.
Try that, now in an economy size
I'm hungry, feed me
kittens and factoids and scandals,
sad African kids without sandals.
If you can't say it well
then repeat what others say
it's B&W, who cares for gray?
Say what everyone thinks.
You know we've got your back
in our righteous wolfpack.
Attacked from all sides?
I will offer a sympathetic ear,
and I never forget what I hear.

Onslaught
it rushes over me
a gust of tumbling objects
protestations and pinheads
straining the rainbow stitches
that pin my soul together
a stabbing suggestion
complete with kiwi and tangerine
and words i dont quite understand
hurtle towards me
uncertainty bleaches the threads
binding me together
thoughts overwhelm
red coals and sweatpants
bits of cloth and ruby dust
are sprinkled across my mindscape
a crack appears
a spark
ignites bits of fluff
camo teddies and orange bubbles
a gaping hole
a devouring empty mouth
it occurs to me that i have lost
everything
the black whirlwind that
speeds across the landscape
shreds everything

Sand
It takes time to gather myself from here to there, and back.
It does not always go well.
Fear, I can mask, but not brittleness.
Eroded cliffs,
a beach I never asked to wash up on,
I reach without grasping,
getting caught in a loop...
Its omniscience,
so irritating,
yet in beholding its creation,
there is no other place to be.
One day, it will wake, and find the pile of sand that was me.

I know this is a little hypocritical from someone on a social media platform,
Someone who knows he has slipped up enough to be identified.
But let's say I am reluctant and this is why.

Exactly! Wow, great work, my friend! I'm sorry I "missed" it when you originally posted it! It's so sad how... via the internet, we strive to become something "more" but none of it's real. Reality takes too much effort, I suppose.
